Farmer’s First Profile

It is universal truth that farmers are the backbone of the country’s economy. Yet, farming community in India is the most exploited. .
Though more than 50% of population depends on farming for livelihood, farmers are not experiencing any friendly policies, conducive environment to get return on their investments and survive their profession for the sake of the nation. .
Since the inception, Farmer’s First Foundation is determined to provide counseling services, technical education and tips, adoption services, investment support and so on.
Today it is the known fact that even a common man is able to eat three times a day, it is just because of some farmer(s) toiled in the farming fields selflessly. Is there enough price is given back to such farmers to gauge his sweat, time, effort and more importantly his sacrifices in life for farming? It is clearly big “no” when it comes to doing the justice to farmers in India.
In the western and rich countries agriculture is heavily funded by governments. Countries like France, Japan, South Korea, Norway and Iceland, producer support ranged between 40-60% of the gross farming receipt in 2019. In the United States it is roughly 12% and in the European Union (EU) it is 20%. But in India, the producer support — what the government pays as a percentage of the farming receipt — is actually negative (-5%). In other words, the farming sector, owned and managed by some of the poorest people in the world, subsidizes what we eat.
As a poll slogan, all political parties boast that “Farmer is the Real King” and “Farmer is the Backbone of the Nation”. But in reality, farmers in India are facing dire situations which are leading them to the utmost poverty. With such unfriendly atmosphere, Indian farmers are turning to suicides, getting dragged into more debts, leading arduous lives, and so on. Born in Siddipet of Telangana State in India, Mr. Chakradhar Goud is determined to work for the betterment of Indian farmers in general and Telangana farmers in particular.
